This week's song is Summertime. I did a little background searching, as I've heard so many people sing this song.

There are approximately 2600 recorded versions of this song! That is crazy!

Billie Holiday's version, which is the one I chose, was the first to reach the US Pop charts, all the way back in 1936. It's still a great song.

It was originally an aria composed by George Gershwin for the opera Porgy and Bess.
